Gayle Mason graduated as a Graphic Designer in 1981 and was a founding member of the Australian Graphic Design Association (AGDA) in Adelaide. Her 15 year company Gayle Mason Design achieved success in Corporate Design, working with Hotels, Tourism SA, Fauldings and many Wineries in the Barossa Valley, Adelaide Hills, and McLaren Vale.
Moving to Perth in 1997, Gayle retrained as a visual artist and chose mentors that she admired, in the art world to show her techniques and give her the skills in painting, printmaking, and drawing and encouraged her to pass on her knowledge by teaching workshops and mentoring others for the last four years.
Her love of natural mark-making and expressive abstract drawing and painting have given her both a following of collectors national and internationally, and The Crown Towers in Perth has over fifty of her drawings and paintings on their walls. Gayle is managing The Gallery Riverside at Woodbridge this year and facilitates workshops and classes in her studio near the river at Woodbridge.
